Coming out of the Closet; Sukhi Sian explores the risk of being authentic about spirituality in the counselling profession.

‘I have been inspired to write this article because I am passionate about bringing counselling and spirituality together. I have witnessed some of the challenges counsellors have faced when integrating spirituality with their counselling practice. I also refer to my journey and experience when I kept my spiritual beliefs to myself, as I used to feel they were something to keep separate from counselling’

The soul at work; Sukhi Sian explores the importance of being able to talk about spiritual beliefs in the workplace.

‘As a therapist who actively works with spirituality, I am passionate about supporting practitioners and workplaces to consider the importance of exploring faith and beliefs at work. By developing a better understanding of spirituality, and its role within the workplace, we are better able to support all of our colleagues’ wellbeing, and therapeutic and clinical practices, as part of our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). I approach this from a few different perspectives: Regional Clinical Lead for Wales and Midlands at Place2Be, Executive Committee member of BACP Spirituality division, and private practice counsellor, clinical supervisor and energy healer’

A Love Lost & Found; The Journey of Love through Heartbreak, Loss and Separation

A Love lost and Found is an invitation through the power of word (poetry, affirmation and journaling) to transform your pain from heart break, loss or separation into your power.

A Journey of love weaved through thirteen stages of transformation (see below) although perhaps not linear, every reader will relate to some of these, and many will to all. It is inevitable that everyone will experience either heart-break, loss or separation in their lifetime. Through such devastating life events, we can feel trapped within our emotions, lack meaning and purpose in life and become disconnected from our true soul essence, losing faith and hope. Struggling to live without love we once had and may still yearn.

A Love Lost and Found takes you through a transformative healing journey from seeking love outside of yourself to discovering it inside, where it has always been. Illustrated with some therapeutic art also created by the author, she demonstrates how grief offers a springboard to love.

Losing, and finding love again. An eternal love that every soul connection eventually leads us to if we are open to finding the hidden blessings within our wounds and in the cracks of our heartbreak. Here we find self-love as our first love; the bridge to our authentic self that we lost along the way. A portal to love beyond the self; to something greater and omnipresent. Click for more
